In the history of Indian Premier League, this would be the 4th title in the name of Mumbai Indians. Tonight, Rohit Sharma, the winning team captain will go home to jumping dogs and a squealing kid. And, he would have got this welcome even as this captain of Mumbai Indians did not win the IPL series, due to their unconditional bond.
The captain has a pet dog and it’s a Beagle. The pooch is pretty adorable. In a video, the pooch is seen running towards Rohit Sharma as he returned back and welcoming him with hugs and kisses.
He is very protective towards Rohit Sharma’s daughter Samaira Sharma. A video posted by wife Ritika Sajdeh had taken the internet by storm where her pooch is found trying its best to keep the baby warm by guarding her with a shawl.
Captain Rohit Sharma is very inclined towards his family and his tweet with the family picture at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium; “At the end, this is what matters the most” says it all. Wife and daughter were present at the stadium cheering for daddy all through the finals and joined in the victory celebrations post-match.

While at home, Rohit is found chilling with his pup and the duo is inseparable. He loves him so much that he even surprised his pup on World Animal Day. He believes that the most powerful thing you can do is give a voice to the voiceless.

Apart from family and his pet dog, the cricketer is also a wildlife lover. He has pictures of Xavira, an Indian Rhino all over his Instagram. “A Baby is born and I’m thrilled to share the good news! Xavira, this mama rhino, was moved from Pobitora to Manas as part of #IndianRhinoVision to make more homes for rhinos in India. I bat for Rhinos! Join me by clicking on the link in my bio” read his caption. Another picture of mummy Rhino and baby grew up and relating it to his own life with baby Samaira coming into his life shows how much Rohit follows wildlife. The caption “Samaira’s arrival has taught me that there’s nothing like doing what you love with your kids. This image of a Mama and baby #rhino getting mucky to cool off in the summer melted my heart” on his Instagram post proved it so.
Through his post, he also makes it a point to spread awareness about environmental change and the need to protect the environment. “The only #10YearChallenge we should be worried about” his caption read.
