Doctor held for flinging pet dogs from his 8th floor apartment

An Iraqi national doctor in Gurugram was arrested on Tuesday on an accusation of the mysterious death of his two Shih Tzu puppies. He later confessed to the police that he had flung the puppies from the 8th floor of his residence located in Emaar Emerald housing society complex, sector 65.

Shih Tzu puppies dead

“The Shih Tzu puppies were a male and a female who were approximately 8-9 months old. The puppies died of cardiac arrests as they fell from a very high altitude. The puppies were well-groomed and were healthy with no signs of cruelty on them”, Dr Vivek who conducted their post- mortem told Times of India. The puppies were then buried by the owner himself and he was found guilty for this crime. he referred the puppies as ‘my kids’, police told TOI.

Nightmare for Morning Walkers

Identified as Saif Azhar Abdul Hussain who is an Iraqi-origin national doctor who is practising in a private hospital in Gurugram. His 8th-floor residence had turned into an investigation area, as his pets were found dead in the society’s campus. This was brought to notice by two residents of the society who were on a morning walk. Nikita Kapoor and Geeta Samridhi saw the dogs falling and collapsing on the spot. And not one, but one after another. 2 dogs fell from the residence and died on the spot. The two ladies then alerted everyone in the society including the security guards and the custodians of the society. The building authority then informed Ummid for Animal Foundation which is an NGO in Gurugram and reported the matter to the police.

Doctor’s Confession

When confronted, the Iraqi doctor was very rude to the security guards and misbehaved with them. “We have received a written complaint against an Iraqi-national doctor named Saif Ali who allegedly threw two pet dogs from his flat’s balcony. The complaint was given by an NGO. The matter is under investigation. We have collected CCTV footages and also taken statements of society’s residents. It will be corroborated with the statement of alleged doctor and then add charges against them”, Shukrapal, SHO of Sector 65 police station told India Today.

Saif Ali first denied the allegation. He stated that his pets were in the balcony and has no idea when they went missing and fell off from the balcony, reports Business Standard. However, later confessed that the allegations charged on him were true. He flung the pets for being stubborn and obstinate, reports Hindustan Times.
